DCCI Future Makers Overall Student Winner 2025
Over the moon to have been awarded Overall Student Winner at the DCCI Future Maker Awards 2025, as well as winning a Material Award! It’s a big honour to be acknowledged by the DCCI in not only the shortlist, but in winning two prizes is really touching. Receiving this type of support is lovely and I cannot thank them enough! Huge congrats to all who were shortlisted. It was super inspiring to meet so many friendly and talented people on the day.
About DCCI Future Makers
Established in 2009, Future Makers is a Design & Crafts Council Ireland (DCCI) initiative which recognises talent, potential and creativity. Its aim is to support the next generation of makers, designers and craftspeople to take the step from training into enterprise. It is one of the largest prize-funded award programmes in Europe.
Divided into student and emerging maker categories and covering a wide range of disciplines, Future Makers recognises and rewards vision, innovation and excellence in both making and the creative process among students and emerging makers. This is a crucial time in the career path of young makers and Future Makers creates a platform to showcase talent, as well as providing much-needed financial support.

Textiles Winner IDI Graduate Awards 2025
So amazing to have won in the Textiles category at the IDI Graduate Awards in MTU Cork. The amount of talent evident in all the different categories was astonishing and I was ecstatic to win against such stiff competition! The wee trophies we were given has taken up a home on my mantelpiece and is a lovely reminder that my work has brought me such lovely successes so far.
Organised by the Institute of Designers Ireland, The IDI Graduate Design Awards were created to recognise and reward outstanding and innovative design by new designers at the beginning of their creative careers.
This provides graduate designers with an excellent opportunity to showcase the breath, depth and promise of their work, as well as demonstrate how they are pushing the boundaries of their discipline.
Judged by an international panel of industry and educational leaders, the IDI Graduate Design Awards ensure Irish graduate design is benchmarked to international industry standards.
