About Clodagh
Dia dhuit! My name is Clodagh and I’m a textile artist specialising in knit, crochet and weave. Based across Kildare & Dublin, my work has won awards from the Design and Craft Council of Ireland and the Institute of Designers Ireland.
At the heart of my practice lies a curiosity about the connection of humans with nature on all levels of biology, history and spirituality. A combination of tactile stitch techniques, such as Organic Cabling, alongside imagery, poetry and handwriting ensures the story behind each piece is consciously at the forefront of its construction. Using only natural fibres, my textile artwork is made to be admired and thought-provoking, while also maintaining the desire to be used and passed down through generations.
Knitting, crocheting, weaving and all things constructed textiles have been my passion for nearly as long as I can remember. Starting in primary school knitting with other students’ grannies, I completed my BA(Hons) in Textile Design from the National College of Art and Design in 2025.

Testimonials
“This was my favourite collection of work from the entire degree show!! Absolutely beautiful. A profound care and thoughtfulness is so evident in all of the pieces. Inspiring!! LOVED it.”
— Sophie, NCAD graduate show
“Our friends commissioned Clodagh to make a special blanket for us, for our new baby. She got in touch to see what we’d like. I gave her a very loose idea - just told her his name (Fiach) and what it means (Raven) and to work away! What she came up with was better than anything I could have even asked for. It’s so beautiful. The stitching is Celtic knotted style with a Raven pattern worked through it, in a gorgeous soft green cotton. We’re so impressed by it! Thank you so much Clodagh. We love the blanket and Fiach will for many years to come.”
— Anne & Liam, baby blanket
“Clodagh we can’t thank you enough for our beautiful wedding blanket. Having the blanket draped over us during our special day is a memory we will treasure forever. Your artistry and craftsmanship has given us a family heirloom. We will be recommending you to people needing something special to honour life events.”
